Conference Schedule
Friday, September 23
7:00 pm – 8:00 pm: Session 1: “The Importance of Assurance” (1 John 5:13; Rom 5:2, 5; Heb 6:11, 19). Can I know for sure that I am in Christ? If so, what difference would it make? This session will deal with the importance of assurance of faith as defined by the scripture.
Saturday, September 24
9:00 am – 10:00 am: Session 2: “The Dangers of Deception” (Micah 3:11; Matt 7:22-23). The Bible not only teaches about assurance, it teaches about false assurance. This kind of deception carries with it the greatest of dangers and the severest of warnings.
10:30 am – 11:30 am: Session 3: “The Work of the Spirit” (2 Peter 1:3-10; John 5:13; Rom 8:16-17). Assurance comes through the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers — both in HIs direct communion with us and His work in conforming us more into the pattern of Jesus Christ.
1:00 pm – 2:00 pm: Session 4: “The Proclamation of Christ” (Acts 20:32; 2 Tim 3:15-17). Christ assures His people through the proclamation of the Word of God and the sacraments which He has ordained for the church.
2:15 pm – 3:15 pm: Q&A Session
